An Open Letter
Dear Friends and Members of the Rabbit Family,
As we hit the 3 year mark, I wanted to take a moment to share a personal story with you—a story about how Rabbit came to life and how we’re striving every day to make your lives easier and more enjoyable.
The Spark of an Idea
A few years ago, while navigating the busy streets of Cairo, I found myself overwhelmed by how much time simple errands were taking. Traffic jams, long lines, and the general hustle of city life made even the smallest tasks feel monumental. I realized that many of you probably felt the same way—wishing for more time to spend with family, pursue hobbies, or simply relax.
That’s when I sat down with my co-founders and now brothers —Walid, Ismail, and Tarek. We shared a common vision: to transform the way people shop by introducing a service that is not just fast, but lightning-fast, a service that redefines reliability and provides a new standard for experience. We imagined a reliable household friend who could deliver “groceries and more” right to your doorstep in under 20 minutes – something that was never done before in the region. And so, Rabbit was born.

The past few years have been challenging for everyone. Global economic shifts, regional currency fluctuations, and unprecedented regional events have tested us all. But through these challenges, we’ve remained committed to our mission and to you. Each obstacle has strengthened our resolve to serve you better and reinforced our belief that we’re not just in the business of retail—we’re in the business of time.
Another way to look at our business is that we are in the business of disappointing people, everyday we do our best yet we fail someone, a mother eager to prepare her kids lunch box or a professional wanting their fresh salad before an important meeting. no matter how well we do, we will always disappoint someone, and it is our daily trek to minimize the number of customers we disappoint, and make it up to those that we fail. because Rabbit is not perfect, but we will do our best to get as perfect as we can.
That everlasting chase for perfection makes me super excited about the future. The region is ripe with potential, and we’re thrilled to be part of its growth. as a company we are continually expanding, innovating, improving and seeking new ways to enhance your experience with Rabbit.
